Mr. Parris wanted to supply the market with qualified technicians who would be given hands-on training as well as fill the skill gap from Level 2 to Level 4. The experience he has gained over forty-four years in the industry, in both teaching and managerial positions has helped him to understand what type of technician is needed in the industry.
The Training Centre is designed for both hands-on and theoretical training and we would be offering courses to satisfy a shortage which has been identified by employers. The need for well-rounded technicians is growing, and we are poised to train our students to fulfill that need.
We are working with accreditation bodies such as City & Guilds, BTEC and the TVET Council to offer our students Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 certifications in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning as well as Building Services Engineering.
In the short term, we will be offering short courses to our students and will be seeking accreditation from the ESCO Institute in the USA to allow our students to sit the Employment Ready Certification and EPA Exams.
